Senior Manager, Billing Operations

Fastly is a real-time content delivery network and edge cloud platform that helps developers build fast, secure, and reliable online services. The Billing Operations team ensures accurate and timely billing, revenue recognition, and cash flow to support Fastly's rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of billing operations professionals.
• Own end-to-end billing processes (order-to-cash, invoicing, collections).
• Collaborate with Finance, Revenue, Sales, and Customer Success to resolve billing issues.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements (e.g., Zuora, NetSuite) and data analytics.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and compliance with applicable standards (ASC 606/IFRS 15).
• Develop metrics and dashboards to monitor billing performance.
• Manage audits and internal controls related to billing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in billing operations or finance, preferably in SaaS.
• Experience leading teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of billing platforms (Zuora, NetSuite) and revenue recognition standards.
• Proficiency with SQL and data analysis; advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.
• Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus.
