Fastly is seeking an Engineering Manager - Infrastructure Automation (Hardware) to lead the team responsible for automating our hardware infrastructure that powers the Fastly edge network.

What you'll do

Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on hardware infrastructure automation and reliability
Define and drive the automation roadmap for provisioning, deployment, and monitoring of hardware infrastructure
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to design scalable automation systems
Establish engineering standards, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices for infrastructure tooling
Own incident response, post-mortems, and reliability initiatives

What we're looking for

5+ years in software or firmware engineering with people management experience
Strong background in automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform or equivalent)
Experience with hardware management interfaces (IPMI, Redfish) and hardware provisioning
Track record of delivering robust infrastructure solutions in hybrid environments
Excellent communication and leadership skills

Location

Hybrid-based role with offices in Denver, CO; New York City, NY; or San Francisco, CA. Remote options may be available per policy.
