Facilities Specialist

📋 Description

• Lead construction and facilities projects for new lines, offices, or upgrades
• Design, develop, and issue drawings, docs, and reports for facilities
• Verify maintenance; coordinate HVAC, electrical, cranes, lighting, doors, roof, security, and fire systems
• Communicate building/maintenance activities and schedules to staff, subs, and suppliers
• Write, negotiate, and manage scope across multiple construction disciplines
• Maintain interior office and factory cleanliness
• Plan, set up, and execute events for VIPs, vendors, and staff
• Recommend move plans and assist with office relocations
• Work with purchasing to ensure vendors are approved, vetted, and insured
• Help support campus services like bike, laundry, and office supplies
• Assist with badging, ITAR, NDA requirements, and safety training
• Create RFPOs and assist with furniture and vendor selection
• Track purchase orders, weekly reports, and project schedules/statuses
• Meet with SpaceX end users and establish the scope of work
• Assist facilities manager in all aspects of project implementation as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in facilities vendor/contract management
• 3+ years in facilities vendor management, contracts, or logistics
• Experience managing commercial, office, or industrial facilities
• Familiar with space planning procedures and operations
• Knowledge of basic computer apps; navigate multiple software programs
• Create/update RFPOs and facilities work orders in ERP software
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to make independent judgments with limited information
• Strong verbal and written communication with vendors and staff
• Able to read basic floor plans
• Work extended hours/weekends as needed
• Lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
• Stand for long periods; climb ladders; bend, lift, reach as needed
