Role Overview

Everlaw is seeking a Software Engineer, Developer Experience to build and maintain internal tooling that boosts productivity for our engineering teams. This role sits on the Developer Experience (DX) team and focuses on empowering developers to move fast by improving tooling, documentation, and infrastructure that support software delivery across the organization.

What you'll do

Design, implement, and maintain internal developer tools and workflows that enhance developer velocity (build systems, tooling, CI/CD enhancements, and scaffolding).
Create and maintain developer documentation, examples, and SDKs to simplify onboarding and usage of Everlaw platforms and APIs.
Collaborate with Platform and Frontend/Backend teams to reduce toil and improve reliability, performance, and developer experience.
Investigate tooling issues, gather requirements from engineers, and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Mentor and collaborate with engineers to promote best practices in developer productivity and quality.

Qualifications

3+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent).
Strong interest in developer experience, tooling, documentation, and internal platforms.
Proficiency with modern programming languages and web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, APIs, and related tooling).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate developer needs into practical tooling solutions.
Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering high-impact projects.

Nice to have

Experience with internal SDKs, documentation generation, or developer portals.
Familiarity with frontend/backend ecosystems and CI/CD pipelines.
Passion for improving developer productivity and developer experience.
