Everlaw is seeking a Director of Engineering, Platform Engineering to lead and scale our platform engineering organization and to advance the core infrastructure powering Everlaw's legal technology platform. In this hands-on leadership role, you will drive architecture, reliability, developer productivity, and platform strategy to enable fast, secure, and scalable product delivery.

The Role

As the Director of Engineering, Platform Engineering, you will lead a growing team responsible for the platform's reliability, scalability, and developer experience. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure Everlaw's platform scales with our product suite.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams
Define and own the platform roadmap, standards, and architectural governance
Collaborate with product, security, and infra teams to design scalable, secure services
Improve deployment velocity, CI/CD practices, monitoring, and incident response
Mentor engineers, drive a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous learning
Manage budgets, performance reviews, and delivery commitments

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience; 5+ years in a technical leadership role
Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and modern software architecture
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices, observability, and reliability engineering
Proven ability to recruit and grow high-performing teams; excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
