Cut and Sew Knits Designer

Overview

Everlane is seeking a Cut and Sew Knits Designer to join our design team in San Francisco. This role focuses on knitwear development from concept to production, collaborating with product, sourcing, and manufacturing to deliver high-quality garments that reflect Everlane's design ethos and commitment to responsible materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead knitwear design and pattern development for cut-and-sew knit garments.
• Create tech packs, specifications, and measurement charts.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate concepts into scalable knit designs.
• Manage fit sessions, review samples, and adjust patterns and grading for production.
• Source appropriate fabrics and trims, prioritizing sustainability and quality.
• Partner with pattern makers, sample sewers, and mills to ensure accurate construction.
• Maintain design documentation and ensure consistency with Everlane9;s brand standards.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in knitwear design, pattern making, or knitwear development for cut-and-sew garments.
• Strong proficiency in pattern making, grading, and garment construction for knits.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Adobe Illustrator and CLO-3D; ability to read tech packs.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating knitwear design and construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; detail-oriented and time-management.
• Passion for sustainability and Everlane's mission.
