We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Competitive Intelligence Analyst and Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leveraging competitive intelligence techniques and tools to gather, analyze, and report on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. This role is crucial in helping our organization stay ahead of the competition by providing actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making.

What you'll do:

  • Software Utilization:Utilize competitive intelligence software tools (e.g., Clozd, Crayon, Klue, CompeteIQ) to monitor and analyze competitors’ strategies, product offerings, marketing tactics, and market positioning.
  • Data Collection:Continuously gather data from various sources including market reports, social media, financial reports, press releases, and other public and subscription-based information channels.
  • Analysis and Reporting:Analyze collected data to identify trends, threats, and opportunities. Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Market Trends:Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to understand the competitive landscape and predict potential impacts on our business.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with product development, marketing, sales, and strategic planning teams to integrate competitive insights into business strategies.
  • Competitor Profiling:Develop detailed profiles of key competitors, including their strengths, weaknesses, strategies, and market positioning.
  • Database Management:Maintain and update the competitive intelligence database, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Training and Support:Train and support team members on the use of competitive intelligence software and best practices in competitive analysis.
  • Continuous Improvement:Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in competitive intelligence methodologies and software tools.
  • What you'll bring:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, business analysis, or a similar role. Experience with competitive intelligence software is required.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient in the use of competitive intelligence software (e.g., Crayon, Klue, CompeteIQ). Strong skills in data analysis, including familiarity with statistical and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Analytical Skills:Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail:High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data collection and analysis.
  • Project Management:Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Team Player:Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
