About the role:

The Lead Dietitian will be responsible for clinical supervision and management of a team of dietitians, in addition to providing direct patient care. The Lead Dietitian will work closely with Equip’s Nutrition Director and other Dietitian Leads, as well as other leaders in Clinical Programs and Clinical Care Delivery, to provide effective clinical supervision in the evidence-based treatments that Equip provides to patients. The Lead Dietitian will have experience providing evidence-based treatment with a data-driven mindset in line with the treatments Equip provides, and also have strong people management skills. Above all, the Lead Dietitian is motivated by the ultimate goal of providing the highest quality evidence-based treatments for eating disorders so that everyone can achieve lasting recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based treatment in both individual and group settings for eating disorders in a virtual clinic (i.e. telehealth).

  • Assess nutritional status along with target weight range for patients and prescribe proper meal plans to help patients meet individualized goals. 

  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary treatment team of physicians, therapists, peer mentors, and family mentors, and coordinate care with outside providers.

  • Utilize between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR in accordance with Equip’s policies and procedures.

  • Engage and collaborate in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings.

  • Provide training and supervision of family-based treatment and other evidence-based treatments to dietitians.

  • Assist in leading and creating program development tasks. Participation in training and presentations both within and outside of Equip.

  • Helps with the development of Registered Dietitian trainings and nutrition handouts. 

  • Review video recordings of dietitian sessions, complete fidelity assessments, and provide feedback to dietitians for quality improvement.

  • Conduct audits of session notes to ensure efficient and effective documentation.

  • Proactively identifies issues that arise with the dietitians and help develop solutions with help from the Nutrition Director.

  • Evaluate dietitians’ overall job performance and provide feedback and support as needed

  • Review and approve time off requests.

  • Review and approve requests to attend/obtain and receive reimbursement for professional development.

  • Develop and support dietitian job growth plansCoordinate changes in dietitian job status

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

    Requirements:

  • Registered dietitian with 4+ years of experience treating eating disorders with at least 1 year of experience delivering manualized care

  • Maintain an active license to practice in the state of residence (if license is required) and in the state(s) that their patients reside and willing to become licensed in other states (paid by Equip)

  • Experience training, supervising, and/or managing dietitians

  • Data driven, with experience using data to guide clinical care

  • Strong skills in communication and collaboration with diverse teams

  • Experience working on interdisciplinary teams

  • Organized and results-driven

  • Ability to work autonomously within established policies and procedures

  • Ability to understand and balance business needs and clinical priorities

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and innovation


Schedule: Monday - Friday. Two evenings are required to work at least till 7 pm.

Compensation & Benefits Package

Compensation:

  • Earning Potential Range: $88,000 to $106,000 Annually

    • Consists of Base Pay + 15% Annual Performance-Based Bonus Potential

Loan Repayment:

  • $500/quarter for employees under a year of tenure.

  • $1,000/quarter for employees over a year of tenure.

Licensing:

  • Equip reimburses fees associated with initial licensure and license renewals (e.g. application to the state board, exam fees, exam study materials, etc.) for any Equip-required licenses and/or cross-licensure requests.

Continuing Education:

  • Robust training in evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, including Family-Based Treatment, Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for ARFID. Comparable training workshops and supervision in these modalities are valued over $3,000.

  • For therapists and medical providers, unlimited online courses through NetCE.

  • Up to $1,000/year stipend for continuing education.

  • Opportunities to attend team onsites and conferences at various locations throughout the US.

Work From Home Additional Perks:

  • $50/month stipend added directly to an employee’s paycheck to cover home internet expenses.

  • Initial work-from-home stipend of up to $500.

    • Reload of $200 on the home office stipend at the 3-year mark and then every other year after that (year 5, year 7, etc.).

  • Company Laptop.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
