📋 Description

  • Work with test engineers to review safety of hazardous ops.
  • Lead or assist incident investigations: follow-up and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and other regs.
  • Collaborate with leadership on job hazard assessments and safety policies.
  • Implement safety programs: OSHA standards; HazCom, hazmat, cryogenics, gases.
  • Develop safety solutions within cost/schedule limits using a safety hierarchy.
  • Monitor exposure to physical/chemical hazards; implement controls.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment for hazards.
  • Develop and maintain safety contingency plans (fires, spills).
  • Maintain compliance with EPA, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, ATF, TRRC and others.
  • Perform environmental compliance audits and due diligence.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ yrs in EHS design/oversight (internship ok) or master’s degree.
  • Engineering degree focused on occupational health and safety.
  • Process safety mgmt with pressure systems and chemical processes.
  • Experience in mass consumer or chemical/pharma manufacturing.
  • Industrial hygiene knowledge: respiratory protection, hearing conservation, ergonomics.
  • Emergency response and incident management.
  • Not remote; relocation required to Bastrop, TX.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
