  • Navigate higher education procurement cycles.
  • Engage stakeholders at colleges/universities (exec/IT/academic/admin).
  • Travel onsite for key customer engagements (quarterly when opportunities exist).
  • Respond to RFPs and RFQs and manage complex procurement.
  • Build executive relationships and expand Smartsheet footprint.
  • Manage a solution-based sales process across multi-group accounts (5k–20k+).

🎯 Requirements

  • 7+ years full-cycle sales experience in technology; SaaS preferred.
  • Proven success selling into state/local govt, K-12, or higher education.
  • Experience with RFPs, procurement cycles, and government contracting (NASPO, GSA, DIR).
  • Ability to travel as needed within the assigned region.
  • Data-driven sales approach with strong CRM and pipeline management.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and executive relationship management.
