Senior MF Capacity Planner

Ensono is seeking a Senior MF Capacity Planner to drive capacity planning for mainframe and related infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency for our clients.

Role overview

As a Senior MF Capacity Planner, you will develop and maintain capacity models, analyze workloads, and forecast future needs. You will collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and finance teams to plan capacity solutions that support business goals and service level expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain capacity models for mainframe and related platforms.
• Analyze workloads and forecast future capacity requirements.
• Monitor utilization, performance metrics, and capacity risks; proactively identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to plan capacity expansions and cost optimization.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate capacity assumptions.
• Prepare reports and present findings to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in capacity planning, performance analysis, or related IT infrastructure roles.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills; experience with capacity planning tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of mainframe environments, virtualization, cloud concepts, and IT infrastructure components.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
