Role Overview
Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer to join its mainframe team. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing IBM mainframe environments running CICS on z/OS.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize CICS regions and related mainframe components
- Monitor performance, tune work units, and troubleshoot issues
- Develop and maintain batch jobs using COBOL and JCL
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
- Implement security, auditing, and compliance controls for mainframe environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy updates and fixes
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with IBM z/OS, CICS, COBOL, and JCL
- Knowledge of CICS transactions, BMS, and related components
- Experience with mainframe performance tools (RMF, SMF)
- Familiarity with ISPF/TSO and batch processing concepts
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
