Overview
Ensono is hiring a Manager, Mainframe Systems Programming to lead the mainframe systems programming team and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our z/OS-based environments. This is a remote position based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of mainframe engineers
- Oversee design, development, deployment, and maintenance of mainframe subsystems
- Manage incident response, problem management, and root-cause analysis
- Plan capacity, performance tuning, and disaster recovery for z/OS environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernization initiatives and security improvements
- Manage budgets, staffing, and project timelines
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with IBM mainframe technologies (z/OS, COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, RACF)
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage complex projects, set priorities, and drive results
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
