Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Technical Advisor to join our remote team supporting clients in the United States. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing mainframe environments, providing expert guidance on z/OS-based systems, and related technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of mainframe solutions for clients
- Collaborate with client teams and Ensono engineers to deliver high-availability, secure mainframe services
- Troubleshoot complex mainframe issues and perform performance tuning
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Ensure security, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance for mainframe workloads
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with z/OS, COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
- Experience with MQ, IMS, and IBM Z hardware is a plus
- Familiarity with mainframe automation, scheduling, and modernization tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; several years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote setting
