Mainframe Systems Programmer - z/OS

Job Summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer specializing in z/OS to join our Pune, India office. This on-site role focuses on maintaining and optimizing IBM mainframe environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security for diverse client workloads.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain z/OS systems and subsystems
• Develop and execute JCL workflows
• Monitor system performance and perform tuning using RMF and related tools
• Implement disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability procedures
• Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates to mainframe environments
• Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with development and operations teams
• Document configurations, changes, and procedures

Qualifications

• Experience with IBM z/OS and related subsystem technologies (JES2/JES3, ISPF/TSO, SDSF)
• Strong skills in JCL and mainframe data management (VSAM, IDCAMS)
• Knowledge of mainframe security (RACF or equivalent) and performance monitoring (RMF)
• Proficiency in languages used on mainframe platforms (COBOL, PL/I, C)
• Good problem-solving abilities, communication, and collaboration skills
