Ensono is seeking a skilled Mainframe Systems Programmer - TSS to join our team. This remote role focuses on maintaining and optimizing IBM z/OS mainframe environments with an emphasis on TSS (Time Sharing System) operations, system automation, and high availability.

Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize IBM z/OS mainframe systems with emphasis on TSS operations and scheduling.
Monitor performance, manage job scheduling, batch processing, and file system integrity.
Develop, test, and apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
Collaborate with application teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and availability.
Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement robust corrective actions.
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and tooling to improve efficiency.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution as needed.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS, TSS, JCL, COBOL, CICS, and ISPF/TSO.
Strong knowledge of system administration, batching, and job scheduling.
Familiarity with performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident response.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
