Role: Expert Mainframe Systems Programmer - zOS

As an Expert Mainframe Systems Programmer, you will be a key member of the Ensono Mainframe Team responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of z/OS based environments. You will install, configure, and administer mainframe systems, ensure high availability, implement security controls, and drive performance improvements across production workloads.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain z/OS environments (JES2/JES3, SDSF, SMP/E)
Develop and tune JCL-based batch jobs and online systems
Manage system security using RACF and related tools
Monitor performance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing
Collaborate with application teams to optimize workloads and system reliability
Automate operational tasks and support on-call rotations

Requirements

Extensive experience with IBM z/OS mainframe environments
Proficient in JCL, SMP/E, RACF, CICS/IMS, DB2, MQ
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and incident response skills
Experience with mainframe storage concepts, DASD, and backup/recovery strategies
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
