Engineering Team Leader

📋 Description

• Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).
• Spend ~30% on management; contribute to product development.
• Lead hiring and onboarding of engineers.
• Own team dynamics and bring out the best in the group.
• Provide continuous, constructive feedback and coaching.
• Redesign engineering work around autonomous agents as default.

🎯 Requirements

• Led an engineering team of at least 2 people.
• Extensive backend exp: Elixir/Phoenix or Ruby, or functional programming.
• Strong alignment with Remote’s values within the team.
• Solid fundamentals and a track record shipping secure, scalable systems.
• Experience designing/adopting agentic/automation workflows.
• Ability to think in systems: define specs, plan, verify, ensure quality.
