Engineering Manager, Users 6d Account Systems

📋 Description

• Define and drive the tech strategy and roadmap for Account Management primitives.
• Own development and delivery of customer console features (notifications, dashboards).
• Lead sustaining engineering: reduce debt, resolve aging tickets, ensure security.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to align the Accounts roadmap with DO strategy.
• Ensure stability and performance for all account systems.
• Manage recruitment and career development for the India-based team.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering, with 4+ years in senior leadership/management.
• Proven track record delivering cloud-scale distributed systems for user accounts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in a global organization.
• Expert-level Go and strong JavaScript/Node.js skills.
• Proven ability to design and implement high-throughput, scalable systems with large data.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) with security models and IaC (Terraform, Helm, Chef).
• Experience building systems handling millions of events per second.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Nice-to-have: distributed systems, microservices, cryptography.
