  • Lead and support a small team of engineers, providing technical guidance, people management and mentorship.
  • Act as the technical lead, driving architecture, design decisions, and implementation of complex user interfaces.
  • Build and evolve toolbars and editing controls central to the document editing workflow in Goodnotes.
  • Develop high-quality UI components using native Apple UI frameworks (UIKit or SwiftUI for iOS, and AppKit for macOS) and web technologies (React and TypeScript).
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders on design, planning, and prioritization.
  • Maintain a high bar for usability, visual quality, performance, and code maintainability across platforms.

🎯 Requirements

  • Experience leading people and small engineering teams.
  • Deep experience building complex user interfaces, either native iOS/macOS UIs using UIKit, SwiftUI, or AppKit, or Web UIs using React and TypeScript.
  • Strong product sense, with a focus on usability, visual polish, and end-user experience.
  • Maker at heart, with a track record of delivering high-quality features hands-on.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to develop people and scale team capability through coaching and a positive feedback culture.
