Engineering Manager - Shipping

📋 Description

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team (6 engineers) in Fulfillment.
• Drive technical direction and system ownership for Fulfillment.
• Improve post-order customer experience; reduce shipping friction and boost reliability.
• Partner with Product and UX to shape roadmap and translate priorities into tech strategy.
• Enable faster, higher-quality delivery; establish engineering standards and metrics.
• Navigate ambiguity in a scale-up; balance immediate delivery with platform improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering foundation with 5–10 years of experience.
• Proven people leadership (1–2+ years) coaching engineers.
• Experience in cross-functional product teams with Product/UX.
• Technical decision-making across architectural trade-offs.
• Ownership mindset; end-to-end problem solving in ambiguity.
• Marketplace/e-commerce or scale-up experience, esp. logistics.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across teams.
