Engineering Manager, Product Platforms

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of 5-8 engineers focused on platform and backend systems.
• Own systems powering transactions, catalogs, entitlements, and integrations.
• Partner with Product on domain modeling and system design.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Improve API design, system boundaries, and service ownership.
• Coach engineers through ambiguity and trade-offs.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing engineers.
• Strong background in building and scaling backend or platform systems.
• Experience designing APIs and working across distributed systems.
• Ability to think in terms of systems, abstractions, and long-term architecture.
• Experience leading teams through complex technical problem spaces.
• Nice to have: FinTech, commerce, or platform ecosystems; Elixir or React.
