Engineering Manager, Machine Learning

📋 Description

• Set technical direction across the team's ML surface (classical models, LLMs, agents)
• Define evaluation and monitoring for production ML, from offline metrics to online experiments
• Review code and model designs; unblock engineers on complex ML problems
• Define team roadmap, scope work, allocate resources, and track execution
• Partner with product, design, and engineering to identify high-impact ML opportunities
• Foster engineers' growth and recruit ML talent as the team scales

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience shipping ML systems in production
• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading ML/AI/data-focused teams
• Experience deploying ML models at scale with evaluation and monitoring
• Strong judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication across product, research, and engineering
• MS/PhD or equivalent research experience is a plus but not required
