Engineering Manager, Application Security

📋 Description

• Lead a security engineering team to build app security tools and threat model.
• Secure code and development processes from IDE to production.
• Scale detection and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with other Discord teams to limit security exposure.
• Partner with product teams to champion new security features.
• Define and own security roadmaps for complex systems.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years as Engineering Manager and 3+ security engineers supervised.
• Proficient in at least one language: Python, Rust, or Go.
• Development-with-AI experience and AI security practices.
• Led multiple security projects with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with tools to automate vulnerability discovery and remediation.
• Cloud-based experience (Google Cloud preferred; others ok).
