📋 Description

• Lead engagement teams; oversee analysis and deliverables; coordinate with subcontractors.
• Apply thought leadership to client engagements; generate actionable insights.
• Build and maintain client relationships using healthcare knowledge.
• Create sophisticated, compelling communications to motivate clients to action.
• Coach and mentor junior staff; apprenticeship-based development.
• Help build the firm’s portfolio through client proposals, events, and marketing activities.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree highly preferred.
• RN required; CDI background in hospital setting.
• Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification required.
• 5+ years in hospital/health system CDS or leadership role.
• Advanced clinical expertise with inpatient experience.
• Knowledge of coding rules and guidelines.
• Regulatory systems and Medicare Part A knowledge.
• Medical record reviews and severity assessment ability.
• Risk adjustment knowledge and tools like Elixhauser and HCCs.
• Inpatient chart audits with cc/mcc optimization experience.
• Grouper logic and benchmarking tools experience.
• Mortality risk adjustment concepts awareness.
• PSIs and exclusion criteria knowledge.
• Experience developing CDS programs and physician education.
• 3-5 years healthcare consulting in professional services.
• Ability to prioritize patient safety and core issues.
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Strong communicator; ability to motivate clients in presentations.
• People leadership; manage teams and develop colleagues.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Advanced MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills.
• Willing to travel up to 80%.
