Employment Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide strategic counsel on hiring, leaves, benefits, and HR policies.
• Advise on US employment obligations with cross-border support.
• Provide legal guidance on employee-related AI initiatives.
• Help create policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Draft and review employment offers, agreements, and related policies.
• Manage or support pre-litigation and litigation with outside counsel.

🎯 Requirements

• JD degree and bar membership in at least one U.S. state (CA/NY preferred)
• 6+ years in employment law
• Experience advising Employee Relations on investigations of employee complaints
• Experience at a reputable law firm (in-house or secondment ok)
• Experience with California employment law (or willingness to learn)
• Experience working with cross-functional partners
