- Develop and own host control software for lasers (bring-up, config, runtime interfaces).
- Build and maintain test infra and embedded host controllers for CMIS laser control.
- Collaborate with Photonic, Analog, Digital, Systems, and Network teams for laser evaluation.
- Contribute to diagnostics and monitoring for photonic transceivers.
- Implement and tune active laser control and stabilization algorithms with senior guidance.
- Develop integrations with DataCenter administration using CMIS/OpenBMC/DMTF.
- Debug embedded systems using GDB, JTAG, and logic analyzers.
- Support laser bring-up and debugging with optical test equipment.
- Partner with hardware and test teams to define interfaces for host controllers.
π― Requirements
- BS + 2+ years or MS + 1+ years experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience developing and shipping embedded or host-side software.
- Working understanding of hardware-software integration.
- Practical knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART in embedded systems.
- Experience developing software or firmware on Linux.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Proficiency with Git and build systems such as CMake.
