Physical Therapy Technician

Overview

Elite Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to join our Clinton, Mississippi clinic. This on-site role supports licensed physical therapists in delivering patient-centered care. The technician will help prepare treatment spaces, set up therapy equipment, assist patients with exercises under supervision, and perform administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sanitize equipment between patients.
• Set up therapy equipment, modalities, and supplies.
• Assist patients with transfers, gait training, and prescribed exercises under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during sessions and report any concerns.
• Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and changes in patient status.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and basic clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare training or certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and compassionate patient care.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with EMR or scheduling software is a plus.
