Electrical Distribution Engineer II

📋 Description

• Design and oversee distribution systems (4–69 kV), with field notes, drawings, and specs.
• Lead field assessments and walk-downs to document conditions and verify design compliance.
• Lead load flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination, and voltage drop analyses.
• Apply IEEE/NEC/NESC/NERC and local regs to develop robust, cost-effective solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters; manage multiple projects (schedules, budgets, scope).
• Coordinate with clients/stakeholders; evaluate DERs and renewables.

🎯 Requirements

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in electrical distribution design, planning, and project execution.
• Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and MS Office; Google Earth.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NESC, NERC, and local utility standards.
• Experience with DERs, energy storage, grid modernization, and renewable integration.
• Strong project management and mentoring; excellent written and verbal communication.
