Elastic is seeking a motivated intern to join the State & Local Government Affairs team as part of the ElastiGrad program. Location: United States (on-site).

Role overview

As an intern in Elastic's ElastiGrad program, you will support the Government Affairs team with policy research, legislative tracking, stakeholder outreach, and cross-functional coordination to help Elastic engage with state and local governments.

Responsibilities

Conduct policy research and prepare briefing materials
Track and summarize legislation relevant to Elastic’s public policy interests
Assist with meetings, events, and outreach to government officials and community partners
Help maintain policy databases and reporting materials
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, product, and communications

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent; interest in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly
Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
