Manager, Public Sector Marketing (SLED)

Overview

Elastic is seeking a Manager, Public Sector Marketing (SLED) to lead strategic marketing and demand generation initiatives for government customers, including state, local government and education sectors. The role partners with product marketing, sales, and cross functional teams to develop messaging, programs, and campaigns that drive awareness and revenue in the public sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for SLED accounts across the public sector.
• Collaborate with product marketing, sales, partnerships, and customer success to create compelling messaging and content for procurement cycles.
• Plan and manage demand generation programs, events, digital campaigns, and field activities in the public sector.
• Lead cross functional teams, manage budgets, track performance metrics, and optimize programs for ROI.
• Support RFP responses and tailored communications for government procurement processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with government customers, partners, and ecosystem players.
• Represent Elastic in industry events, associations, and thought leadership activities related to the SLED market.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of B2G/public sector marketing experience or equivalent; track record in government-focused programs.
• Strong strategic thinking, messaging, and demand generation skills.
• Experience with budget management, campaign analytics, and cross functional leadership.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and compliance considerations in state and local education markets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
