Federal Civilian Account Executive - USDA
Elastic is seeking a mid-senior level Federal Civilian Account Executive to drive growth with the USDA within the US federal civilian sector. This role focuses on building and executing a strategic sales plan, developing and managing a robust pipeline, and partnering with cross-functional teams to bring Elastic solutions to government customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy for USDA opportunities within the federal civilian sector.
- Manage a multi-stage pipeline, forecast revenue, and close deals.
- Build and sustain relationships with senior government stakeholders and procurement offices.
- Deliver tailored demonstrations of Elastic's Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Elastic Stack solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Services to craft winning proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Navigate federal procurement processes (FAR/GSA schedules) and align solutions to agency missions.
- Drive customer success and expand strategic accounts over time.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with a track record of federal/public sector wins (USDA or similar agencies preferred).
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and contracting vehicles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and travel as needed.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; security clearance or ability to obtain public trust as required.
