We're looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. You will support our indirect spend, negotiate contracts, analyze commercial terms, and improve pricing across an assigned category of indirect spend. You will develop category strategies and use market intelligence to develop alternative sources. You will take full ownership of your domain and contribute to the procurement function by creating and refining processes and templates for vendors across categories worldwide.

You will work onsite at our San Jose, CA office reporting into the Indirect Procurement Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create strategic sourcing models for professional services that improve the value of goods and services

  • Implement cost-effective procurement practices, optimizing supplier performance and competitive pricing

  • Prepare RFQs, RFPs, bid documents, and evaluate proposals and administer the evaluation process

  • Partner with legal department to create contract documents and craft negotiation strategies to accomplish favorable terms and conditions

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of programs to assess and promote supplier performance, development and management

  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and engineering to define service level agreements for suppliers and measure the delivery of results, cost reduction, quality and timeliness of delivery

  • Analyze market trends, perform benchmarking, and use industry knowledge to identify cost-saving opportunities and goal reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related field

  • 12+ years experience in purchasing, buying, or procurement

  • Experience procuring professional services

  • Experience making data-driven decisions with incomplete information

  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, and Smartsheet

$170,000 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
