Job Description: ESS School-Based Psychiatrist

Position Overview:
The School Psychiatrist will provide remote psychiatric services to students, including assessments and medication management. This is a remote per diem role (approximately 4 hours per month).
Key Responsibilities
:
- Assessments & Diagnosis
- Medication Management
- Clinical Consultation:
- Work closely with school counselors, social workers, psychologists, and other staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
- When appropriate may be asked to consult regarding crisis intervention
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student interactions and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in psychiatry.
- Board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Valid state medical license.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
