📋 Description

  • Develop and maintain media relations with education, philanthropic, and tech journalists.
  • Source, craft, and pitch stories about Learning Commons work.
  • Track media inquiries, update media lists, and assist with monitoring.
  • Write/edit press releases, blogs, newsletters, web content, social posts, and FAQs.
  • Manage internal communications calendar and create content for internal newsletters and events.
  • Plan and execute events: briefings, speaking requests, press calls, webinars, and conferences.

🎯 Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in strategic communications with media relationships.
  • Experience in education technology and/or K-12 education sectors.
  • Outstanding writing/editing skills; simplify complex issues for diverse audiences.
  • Passion for Learning Commons and its mission.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
