Ebury Leon Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week

We are looking for a Transaction Monitoring Graduate to join our Operations team, reporting to the Head of Transaction Monitoring. We are looking for someone who can ideally speak Spanish and English, although any other languages will be an asset.

This role is based in our Global Operations Centre and will require participation in a shift pattern rotation to cover our global operations across all timezones.

What you’ll do:

  • Conducting retrospective monitoring on client transactions, specifically focusing on post-execution payments, and processing alerts as appropriate.
  • Analyzing historical account transactions and reviewing patterns to detect potential money laundering or terrorist financing activities.
  • Identifying and analyzing unusual transaction patterns and behaviors to identify potential financial crime risks.
  • Raising internal escalations and initiating investigations for suspicious activities and patterns.
  • Liaising with clients to obtain supporting information to understand payment trends and unusual activity.
  • Responding to Requests For Information on transactions from banking partners.
  • Responding to queries from other internal departments.
  • Completing allocated tasks with focus and in a timely manner.
  • Communicating the status of tasks to colleagues, supervisors, and managers, and escalating problems swiftly, as needed.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping of all reviews and investigation cases.
  • Adhering to all internal policies, processes, and procedures.

What you’ll need:

  • Diligent, with exceptional attention to detail and a strong analytical mind.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work within strict time-frames and under pressure.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a target-driven operational environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Co-operative and comfortable working effectively in a team environment.
  • Curious and eager to learn, actively asking questions to confirm understanding of processes and procedures.
  • Adaptable, with the ability to cope with changing products, processes, and procedures.
  • Motivated, with a desire to contribute to Ebury's success.
  • Fluency in English is essential; any other language is considered a significant benefit.
  • A strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) principles is a plus.
  • Strong research skills for in-depth investigation of transactions.
