Role overview
As the Health & Safety Workplace Specialist, you will implement and maintain health and safety policies, ensure compliance with local León regulations, perform risk assessments, and help build a strong safety culture across Ebury's teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures aligned with Spanish regulations and Ebury standards.
- Conduct workplace risk assessments, inspections, and audits; identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety laws, corporate standards, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Coordinate safety training for employees and contractors; lead safety communications.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, HR, and cross-functional teams to promote safe work practices.
- Maintain safety records, metrics, KPIs, and prepare regular safety reports for management.
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and liaison with local authorities as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in health & safety, preferably in a multinational or multi-site environment.
- Knowledge of Spanish health and safety regulations; ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to perform risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence safety culture.
