Role overview

As the Health & Safety Workplace Specialist, you will implement and maintain health and safety policies, ensure compliance with local León regulations, perform risk assessments, and help build a strong safety culture across Ebury's teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures aligned with Spanish regulations and Ebury standards.
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments, inspections, and audits; identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety laws, corporate standards, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Coordinate safety training for employees and contractors; lead safety communications.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, HR, and cross-functional teams to promote safe work practices.
  • Maintain safety records, metrics, KPIs, and prepare regular safety reports for management.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and liaison with local authorities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in health & safety, preferably in a multinational or multi-site environment.
  • Knowledge of Spanish health and safety regulations; ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence safety culture.
