Role overview
The Health & Safety Workplace Specialist will lead health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment and regulatory compliance in Madrid. You will develop policies, perform risk assessments, coordinate training, and support incident investigations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Conduct workplace safety audits and incident investigations.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs for staff.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish health and safety regulations and local standards.
- Collaborate with facilities, HR, and operations to manage safety within offices and sites.
- Monitor and report on safety metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with external authorities and respond to audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Professional HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Managing Safely) or equivalent.
- Experience in workplace health and safety, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish health and safety regulations and incident reporting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and safety documentation management.
- Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency preferred.
