Role overview

The Health & Safety Workplace Specialist will lead health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment and regulatory compliance in Madrid. You will develop policies, perform risk assessments, coordinate training, and support incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Conduct workplace safety audits and incident investigations.
• Provide safety training and awareness programs for staff.
• Ensure compliance with Spanish health and safety regulations and local standards.
• Collaborate with facilities, HR, and operations to manage safety within offices and sites.
• Monitor and report on safety metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external authorities and respond to audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Professional HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Managing Safely) or equivalent.
• Experience in workplace health and safety, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish health and safety regulations and incident reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and safety documentation management.
• Fluency in Spanish; English proficiency preferred.
