Ebury is seeking a Global Payroll Specialist to manage payroll activities for our global teams. This role requires fluent Portuguese and a solid understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and data accuracy. Location: Málaga, Spain. This position is on-site.

Role Summary

As Global Payroll Specialist you will own the end-to-end payroll process across multiple regions, ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery, and partner with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile payroll data for multiple regions, ensuring accuracy and statutory compliance.
• Validate payroll inputs, resolve discrepancies, and respond to payroll inquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with tax authorities, benefits providers, and external payroll vendors as needed.
• Support payroll year-end activities, statutory reporting, and audits.
• Assist with process improvements and potential payroll system migrations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably with multi-country exposure.
• Fluency in Portuguese (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax rules in relevant jurisdictions (EU experience is a plus).
• Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
