Engineering Manager (FinCore) - Ebury

Ebury is a leading fintech focused on cross-border payments and FX for businesses. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the FinCore engineering team in Málaga, Spain.

Role overview

As Engineering Manager, you will lead engineers building the FinCore platform, partner with product and security to deliver scalable financial software, and develop the team to meet ambitious growth and reliability goals.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on the FinCore core platform.
Define technical strategy, architecture, and delivery roadmaps in collaboration with product and stakeholders.
Oversee software design, quality, security, and reliability across the fintech stack.
Mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and recruit top talent.
Promote best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
Partner with Compliance and Security to meet regulatory requirements.

What we look for

7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in people leadership.
Experience with fintech or financial services platforms and distributed systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and modern development pipelines.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
