Role Overview

Compliance Officer & MLRO at Ebury in Lisbon. This on-site role leads regulatory compliance for the Lisbon office, acting as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and ensuring robust AML/KYC controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Act as MLRO under applicable AML/CFT regulations; lead suspicious activity reports (SARs); and maintain regulatory relationships.
Design, implement, and maintain AML/KYC policies, procedures, and training programs.
Oversee transaction monitoring, risk assessments, and ongoing customer due diligence.
Collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to embed a culture of compliance.

Requirements

Significant experience in AML/CFT compliance within the financial services sector.
Strong knowledge of EU/Portuguese AML regulations and supervisory expectations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AML/MLRO) are a plus.
