Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Earnest. This role designs and implements secure cloud architectures, drives security best practices across cloud services, and partners with product and engineering teams to protect data and systems. This is a remote opportunity with a fast-growing organization.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate cloud security controls across cloud environments.
Define secure by default patterns, IaC security checks, and automated remediation.
Collaborate with engineering teams on threat modeling, risk assessment, and security reviews.
Manage identity and access governance, encryption strategies, and key management.
Lead incident response and security investigations.
Maintain security runbooks, monitoring, and alerting.

Requirements

Experience in cloud security engineering, with strong understanding of IAM, encryption, and threat modeling.
Experience with infrastructure as code and security tooling.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
