Marketing Specialist - Thought Leadership and External Communications

Overview

dunnhumby is seeking a Marketing Specialist focused on Thought Leadership and External Communications to shape and share our external narrative. In this role, you will help position dunnhumby as a leader in customer analytics and shopper insights through compelling content and strategic communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute thought leadership content, including bylined articles, white papers, blog posts, case studies, and speaking materials.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and client solutions teams to translate complex analytics into clear, impactful messages for external audiences.
• Manage external communications, media relations, and content dissemination across channels.
• Own and maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing and business goals.
• Support executive communications and help prepare speaking materials and press collateral.
• Measure impact of content and campaigns using appropriate analytics and feedback loops.

Requirements

• 3+ years of marketing/communications experience, preferably in B2B technology or analytics.
• Exceptional writing, editorial judgment, and storytelling skills with ability to distill complex data into accessible insights.
• Excellent collaboration and project management abilities; comfortable working cross-functionally.
• Experience with media relations and external communications planning.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
