We seek a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer to join our talented team. You will be responsible for driving our projects' technical direction and innovation. Your expertise in software architecture, cloud development, and DevOps best practices will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our products.

In this hands-on role, you will work closely with crossfunctional teams to lead and guide the development process, optimise workflows, and actively develop junior engineers while providing mentorship to nurture their growth.

What we expect from you:

  • Technical Leadership: Define technical vision, set coding standards, and ensure delivery of both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Software Architecture: Design scalable, secure, high-performance systems using technologies like .NET, React, Python, Spark, and cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
  • Cloud Engineering: Build and optimise cloud-native applications with a focus on performance and cost-efficiency.
  • DevOps & Delivery: Champion CI/CD, trunk-based development, and mono repo strategies to streamline deployment.
  • Code Quality: Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and implement robust testing strategies.
  • Mentorship: Support and grow junior engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and introduce new tools and practices to improve our engineering processes.
  • Support & Reliability: Provide user support and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system uptime and responsiveness.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or Tech Lead, guiding software development projects from conception to delivery.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience working with either React or Typescript
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with technologies like .NET, Git (GitLab), Docker, and Cloud development (GCP and Azure).
  • Expertise in software architecture, cloud development, and DevOps best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and find innovative solutions.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and project management practices.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and understandable manner, especially to non-technical stakeholders such as PMs, UX designers, and other team members.
