Key Responsibilities:
Conduct vendor review for data compliance and contract review (including DPA and DTA) on compliance terms including privacy, data, anti-corruption, export control, etc.
Fabricate business process record (BPR) to address data flow and conduct primary risk impact assessment and other data compliance assessment (including DPIA, DTIA, China data export self-assessment, etc.)
Privacy Notice draft and update, and consent language management.
Support internal privacy and data compliance programs, including credit reporting agency compliance, personal information protection, data subject request, data categorization and classification and Record of Processing Activity (ROPA).
Support localization and implementation of global privacy and compliance policies.
Support internal controls, audit and certification projects regarding data compliance, including CRA self-inspection, data compliance self-inspection, ISO 27701 and CBPR.
Conduct legal research related to privacy and compliance matters.
Provide proactive and effective communication with business partners on privacy and compliance issues.
Provide compliance training to business partner to make sure the smooth of the compliance program.
Handle legislative update, compliance documentation and support regulatory filing. Key Requirements:
Legal degree and Bar Admission in China is required, J.D., LL.B., LL.M. or other law degree from western jurisdictions is a plus.
Around 5 years of legal experience from an in-house role at an MNC/global company or at a reputable law firm, including 2-year experience in the data privacy and security.
Effective collaborative and communication skills that contribute to positive working relationships with business partners from different functions with a curious mindset and a “can do” approach.
Familiar with TrustArc is a big plus.
