Senior Director, Product Design

Role Description

Dropbox’s Core team is looking for a Design Leader to lead product design teams in building best-in-class product experiences that delight our customers. This leader will shape the vision and execution of

foundational design team within Core, including design systems and portfolio. This means leading our most strategic ICs in defining the future of Core and leading a cross-functional team to build the foundational components, primitives and patterns leveraged by all of Dropbox design.

This role will also be critical in contributing to our world-class design discipline, guiding talented designers,

PMs, and engineers

focused on high levels of craft and quality across Dropbox. You’ll work closely with leaders across the business and shape not just our products, but our people and the way we design and build.

Requirements

• At least
  7
  +
  year
  s
  of professional experience leading
  or
  managing
  a design team

• At least 2+ years designing, building and leading a design system team at a mature company

• Experience leading senior ICs, especially principal level and ability to guide them to contributing maximum impact

• A portfolio of relevant design work, executed either by yourself or a team that you led, that conveys an ability to ship successful products that
  customers
  love

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing 0-1 consumer products strongly preferred

• Success leading the thoughtful integration of generative design tools, LLMs, and computational design methodologies into creative workflows while preserving team autonomy and elevating overall design quality
