Role overview

As a Senior Capacity Engineer in Capacity Engineering, you will own capacity planning, performance optimization, and reliability for our distributed services. You will partner with SRE, Infrastructure, and product teams to forecast demand, design scalable capacity solutions, and reduce risk across the platform.

Responsibilities

Design and implement capacity planning strategies for cloud and hybrid environments
Develop capacity models, forecasts, and tooling to guide engineering decisions
Lead capacity reviews with cross-functional teams and influence roadmap planning
Build automation for capacity monitoring, anomaly detection, and incident response
Contribute to incident postmortems and drive capacity-related improvements

Requirements

Significant practical experience in capacity engineering, reliability engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of Linux, monitoring/observability tools, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure)
Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure automation
Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and scalable systems
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
