Role Description

We are looking for a motivated Network Engineer to join Dropbox’s Corporate IT team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior and mid-level engineers to design, implement, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, office environments, wireless networks, and cloud platforms.This position offers hands-on experience with network automation, performance tuning, cloud networking, and security. You’ll contribute to key initiatives while helping to advance the team’s capabilities in automation, observability, and cloud infrastructure consolidation.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize networks using tools like Datadog, Kentik, and synthetic testing
  • Support network deployments, upgrades, and retrofits across data centers and offices
  • Assist with daily network operations, stand-ups, and vendor coordination
  • Contribute to Aruba Cloud wireless migrations and ongoing wireless infrastructure management
  • Support networking efforts across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI, including VPC design and routing/security optimization
  • Assist with Zscaler implementations, including disaster recovery and business continuity projects
  • Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Ansible and Python
  • Automate network provisioning with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD
  • Maintain and improve tooling like NetBox, Oxidized, ACL management, and IPAM systems
  • Document network architecture, procedures, and runbooks
  • Support network segmentation, traffic inspection, and secrets management
  • Contribute to performance tuning to improve network reliability and end-user experience

On-call work may be necessary occasionally to help address bugs, outages, or other operational issues, with the goal of maintaining a stable and high-quality experience for our customers.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms
  • Familiarity with network automation using Ansible, Python, and Terraform
  • Understanding of cloud networking in AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and enterprise Wi-Fi
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Datadog, Kentik, NetBox, and IPAM
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
  • Interest in zero trust security (Zscaler) and network performance optimization
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Aruba wireless (on-prem and cloud)
  • Familiarity with Zscaler tools (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, ZCC)
  • Knowledge of Vault or similar secrets management platforms
  • Understanding of container and Kubernetes networking
  • Strong written communication skills for technical documentation and runbooks
Compensation
