Senior Director, Core Trade Engineering

Overview

DriveWealth is seeking a Senior Director, Core Trade Engineering to lead the Core Trade engineering organization, shaping the technical direction and delivering scalable trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Core Trade engineering team, shaping strategy, roadmap, and architecture for core trading systems.
• Drive delivery of scalable, reliable, low latency trading infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Partner with product, risk, compliance, and security to align requirements and ensure governance and regulatory standards.
• Build a high performing engineering culture with emphasis on ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; manage budgets and resource planning.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering leadership experience, preferably in financial trading platforms or real-time systems.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, streaming data, low-latency architectures, and event-driven design.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (eg AWS), containers and Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring/observability, and incident response.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence cross-functionally.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
