About the Role

DriveWealth Technologies is building a world-class ultra low latency infrastructure team responsible for designing, architecting, testing, and deploying one of the world's most bleeding-edge electronic trading tech stacks. This team drives the company’s technology transition from cloud-based infrastructure services to extremely performant bare metal platforms, which will be co-located with the major trading venues in all major global geographies.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform product research to stay abreast of emerging technologies in the ultralow latency compute systems and platform community
  • Conduct myriad proof of concept (POC) and proof of value (POV) tests across a wide range of technologies to determine whether vendor solutions are fit for purpose
  • Partner with application developers to understand and document their business requirements and performance goals, which drives compute platform sizing and shape, as well as capability scope
  • Produce clear and professional system architecture designs and internal process flow diagrams
  • Partner with vendors to select and source compute hardware
  • Partner with project and program management teams to track delivery
  • Partner with colocation facility service providers to oversee rack deployment and cabling, as well as system BIOS and OS configurations and testing

What You’ll Need

  • Experience with ultralow latency compute and storage technologies from major vendors such as Dell, HPe, Lenovo, Supermicro, ICC, Ciara, EMC, and Pure
  • Comprehensive expertise in all stages of the compute infrastructure equipment lifecycle: architecture, design, engineering, testing, sourcing, build design, deployment automation, configuration management, support operations, and observability monitoring
  • Proficiency in testing, benchmarking, documenting, and differentiating CPU architectures (Intel and AMD), system bus architectures (e.g., CXL), and accelerator technologies (GPU, TPU, FPGA, RDMA, SmartNICs, kernel bypass driver stacks)
  • Experience developing, defining, testing, and documenting baseline configurations for high-performance system BIOS, focusing on system power and cooling optimization and multi-thread management and optimization
  • Expertise in developing, defining, testing, and documenting baseline configurations for high-performance Linux operating systems, including deployment and application-specific performance tuning for ultra-low latency process optimization and trade execution
  • Hands-on experience with compute workload virtualization technologies spanning VMs, containers, and function-as-a-service platforms, leveraging solutions like VMWare + Tanzu, Red Hat Openshift, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in developing, defining, testing, and documenting baseline configurations for ultra-low latency storage technologies, encompassing block, file, and object storage, both physical and software-defined
  • Experience developing and maintaining monitoring and observability toolsets and product baselines (e.g., logs, alerts, performance telemetry)
  • Experience in selecting and implementing system build and deployment toolchains, along with configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible, Salt stack), for automating system deployments and managing infrastructure configurations
  • A significant part of DriveWealth's technology stack operates on AWS. Therefore, the ideal candidate should have relevant experience working with major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to procure, configure, and manage compute infrastructure across various form factors such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Container as a Service (CaaS), and Function as a Service (FaaS).

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. DriveWealth is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
